Warranty

Covered for 12 months.

Every tracker we sell is covered against defects for 12 months from the invoice date — repair or replace, and we pay the freight both ways on an approved claim. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law sit on top of that.

Our 12-month warranty

Every Crucial Tracking tracker comes with a 12-month warranty against defects. If a tracker fails in normal use within 12 months of the invoice date, we'll repair it or replace it, at our option, at no cost to you.

This warranty is given in addition to — and does not limit — the rights and remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

What it doesn't cover

The warranty doesn't cover:

  • misuse or tampering;
  • physical damage, including damage caused by incorrect installation — for hardwired vehicle installs we recommend a professional auto electrician;
  • damage from power surges or spikes.

How to make a claim

Email team@crucialtracking.com.au or call 0413 418 743 with your order number and a description of the fault, and we'll take it from there. You can also send a claim by post to Crucial Tracking, 1 Possum Glade, Beeliar WA 6164.

Please contact us before sending a tracker back. Where the fault can be fixed remotely or with a settings change we'll save you the trip, and if it does need to come back we'll confirm the return address first.

We cover the cost of a warranty claim. On a genuine warranty claim we pay to get the tracker back to us and to send the repaired or replacement tracker out to you. If a returned tracker turns out not to be faulty, or the fault falls outside the warranty, we'll tell you what it will cost before we do anything.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled: to cancel your service contract with us; and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
