Watch everything on one private platform

Every tracker reports to the Open Platform — built and run by us, hosted in Australia, supported from Perth. Open it in any browser or on your phone and your whole fleet is one live map.

The platform and your stored tracking data are hosted in Australia, on infrastructure we run ourselves from Perth. Your tracking history isn't sold or shared with third parties — see our privacy policy.

Full platform access included with every monthly and yearly plan — and with the first year that comes included with your tracker.

  • Private and Australian-hosted

Your tracking data stays on our own Australian-hosted platform — not an offshore white-label service. Ask a question and you're talking to the people who run it.

  • Local stock, shipped from Perth

We hold our own stock in Perth and ship it ourselves — no drop-shipping, no waiting on an overseas seller.

  • We support what we sell

Every tracker we sell is hardware we stock, install and support ourselves. If something plays up, we sort it.

How it works

Get tracking in three steps

  1. 01

    Choose your tracker

Pick hardwired, plug-in OBD or battery-powered — whatever fits the job — and add a plan.

  2. 02

    Install it

Plug it in yourself in minutes, or have us arrange a professional hardwire install.

  3. 03

    Track it live

Open the platform on your phone or desktop and watch your gear move on the map.

What other tracking companies don't tell you

A few facts worth knowing before you buy any tracker — from anyone.

  • 2G and 3G are gone in Australia

Telstra and Optus switched off 3G on 28 October 2024 — Vodafone went in December 2023 — and 2G disappeared years ago. Overseas marketplaces still sell 2G and 3G trackers to Australians. Here, any of them is e-waste in a box.

  • One network is one point of failure

Every Crucial Tracking data plan ships with a SIM that works across both the Telstra and Optus mobile networks. The SIM isn't tied to one carrier: the tracker connects to whichever of the two networks it can see at the time. How the dual-network SIM works.

  • Not every tracker is a vehicle tracker

Battery asset trackers and hardwired vehicle trackers do different jobs. One watches gear that sits for months; the other reports a moving vehicle second by second. Start with what you're tracking, not the cheapest box.

  • A proper hardwired 4G tracker does more than dots on a map

It detects ignition, battery disconnect and towing — and it can immobilise the engine, designed to engage only while the vehicle is stationary.

  • Plenty of trackers are sold as black boxes

No 4G bands listed, no battery figure, no update rate. We publish the full hardware spec for every tracker we sell, and put them side by side on the comparison page so you can check before you buy.

Do I need a data plan?

Yes — a tracker needs a data connection to report. On the CT-V03, CT-V05 and CT-A03 the first year of the plan you choose is included with the tracker ($7/mo or $70/yr Power Saver with 2-minute updates, or $10/mo or $100/yr Real-Time with 10-second updates), or bring your own SIM. Our other trackers are BYO-SIM only — the CT-A01 needs a Telstra Business IoT SIM.

What does it cost all up?

$139 for the tracker, with the first year of the plan you choose included. From year two the plan renews at $7/mo or $70/yr (Power Saver) or $10/mo or $100/yr (Real-Time). Cancel any time; there's no minimum term. Bringing your own SIM? Any Australian 4G data SIM works in a CT-V03, CT-V05 or CT-A03.

How much is shipping?

Free Australia-wide on orders over $79.

What if it doesn't suit me?

Request a refund within 30 calendar days of delivery and send it back complete and in original condition — incomplete returns may incur a 20% restocking fee. Get in touch and we'll sort it out.

Will it work where I am?

Your tracker uses the network coverage provided by Telstra and Optus, Australia's two largest mobile networks. If one network isn't available where your vehicle or asset is, the tracker can connect on the other. Two networks instead of one removes a single point of failure, but no mobile network covers all of Australia, and reception in any given spot depends on terrain, buildings and distance to the nearest tower.
