CT-A09 is a slim 4G GPS asset tracker that runs on two AA Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries, with no wiring and nothing to charge. At 149 × 51 × 21 mm it screws, bolts or cable-ties onto a pallet, a trolley, a toolbox, a trailer, a bin or a shipping container and stays out of the way. A magnet on the base keeps it asleep until you pull the magnet off, and then it’s tracking.
It sleeps when parked, so the batteries go a long way: up to 8 years at one location update a day on Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries.
It is designed for Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries and ships without them unless you ask us to fit the first pair. When they run low, you fit two new ones yourself: no charging and no sending it back to us. Use Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries only; never 3.6 V lithium, alkaline or rechargeable cells. Fit both at once, new and from the same pack. Then reseal the case: check the seal is clean and lying flat, and tighten the eight screws evenly without overtightening them.
The sealed housing is IP68-rated when sealed correctly (dust-tight and protected against immersion) and impact-rated to IK07, and the tracker works from –30 °C to 60 °C. GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou give positions accurate to about 2 m, with a rough location from the mobile network when it can’t see the sky. A motion sensor detects when the asset moves, and positions recorded out of coverage are sent once it’s back in range. It measures 149 × 51 × 21 mm and weighs 107 g with its batteries.
