There's no power on my trailer — does that matter?

No — that's the point of an asset tracker. The CT-A02, CT-A03 and CT-A01 run on their own internal batteries for 70 days to three years between charges, so they don't need wiring, an ignition or a battery on the trailer at all.

Will I know if it gets towed away?

Yes — tow detection picks up movement and alerts your phone straight away, and the live map shows where it's going. That first hour matters, and this is how you get it.

Does it work while we're touring?

Yes — the tracker reports wherever there's 4G coverage, so the van shows on the map at the roadhouse, the storage yard or the caravan park. Out of range it keeps logging and catches up when coverage returns.

One-year or three-year battery — which one?

If you use the van or boat regularly and want everything on one Crucial Tracking plan and bill, the CT-A03 is the pick — just top it up over USB every couple of months. The CT-A02 suits the same jobs with about a year between charges, but it's older stock sold outright only — bring your own SIM. If it mostly sits in storage, the CT-A01's three-year battery wins — just note it needs its own Telstra Business IoT SIM and is also sold outright.
